Booking terms and conditions

When booking only hotel room/cottage (NB not offer/package booking)

General
Unless a special agreement has been reached, the following rules apply. For conferences and group bookings and activities, special rules apply, see below.

Ordering and confirmation
An order is binding in that it has been confirmed and you have received a confirmation number. This can be done either orally, in writing or via our booking system. When ordering, you are required to give your name, address, arrival and departure dates, and how payment is to be made. Different rules apply to different rates, see the detailed price information. To book a room at Granö Beckasin, for yourself or someone else, you must be at least 18 years of age. If you book a room for a minor but do not intend to stay yourself, the minor needs to upon arrival, provide us with a certificate signed by a legal guardian. The certificate guarantees that the parent or guardian approves the minor living at the hotel and that the parent or guardian is responsible for him and his actions. The person who made the booking, or guardian, while staying at the hotel is responsible for the minor, even if they live in separate rooms.

Arrival and departure
The hotel room is at your disposal at the earliest from 15.00 arrival day. You must leave the room at the latest at 12.00. The room is reserved for arrival at the latest at 18.00. If you arrive later, you must inform the reception about this. If the notice of late arrival is made in writing, it must be confirmed in writing by the hotel to be effective.

Cancellation and no-show
If cancelled, this must be done at the latest 15:00 local time on the day of arrival. Exceptions apply to other agreements at the time of booking. If you do not show without cancelling your booking or cancel later than 15:00, you are obligated to pay the first day. If the hotel has incurred special costs due to your order, you may be required to reimburse this.

Early departure and stay for an indefinite period
Changes to the date of arrival, departure dates or room type can be made in the case of available rooms, but may result in a change of price. If you stay at the hotel for an indefinite period and extend your stay with one day at a time, you should notify your departure at the latest 18.00 the day before. Otherwise, you may be charged for an extra day. If the hotel can no longer let you have access to the room, you have the right to know this by 18.00 the day before departure.

The obligations of Granö Beckasin and your wishes
If Granö Beckasin cannot give the guest the room agreed upon, the guest has the right to have an equivalent or better room in the area of Granö Beckasin. If it is not possible then one will be made available at another hotel with equivalent standards but the hotel does not need to have the same design (for example, it does not have to be a cottage in the trees). Please specify the request when ordering and you are sure that the hotel is properly prepared.

All our rooms are non-smoking rooms. In case of a violation of a smoking ban, Granö Beckasin is entitled to charge you for this. If you wish to bring a pet, please let us know when ordering the room (extra charge will apply). The guest is obliged to notify and replace Granö Beckasin if the room, the cottage or the décor of the Granö Beckasin is damaged during the letting.

Payment
For certain prices, prepayment is due, in other cases the payment is made in connection with the stay at the Granö Beckasin. Granö Beckasin would like you to pay with account-/kreditkort. We accept most common cards, however, Granö Beckasin are not obligated to accept special credit cards, cheques, coupons or foreign currency if the Granö Beckasin has not offered to do so.

Storage of valuables and luggage
The hotel can store your baggage, but does not take responsibility for the submitted. The hotel has no obligation to store high-value property. The hotel has no strict liability for the property you store in the hotel room. In case of loss of the key, the guest will be responsible for the costs associated therewith. The hotel is entitled by law to, as collateral for the claim against the guest, detain luggage and in some cases, according to established rules, also to sell it.

Your own safety
Always inform yourself of the location of emergency exits, alarm buttons and fire extinguishers. Look for details in the information on the inside of the hotel room door.

For reservations of activities or offers arrangements for private persons
You are required to give your name, address, arrival and departure and how to pay. Different rules apply for different price amounts, see detailed information. To book an activity or a pakage arrangement at the Granö Beckasin, för yourself or anyone else, you must be at least 18 years old. Minors are not allowed to participate in any activities without a parent/legal guardian.

Ordering and confirmation
When booking activities or package arrangements that do not exceed a total value of 5 000 SEK, the following conditions apply:
A reservation is binding once it has been confirmed and you have received a confirmation number. This can be done either orally, in writing or via the reservation system. Payment can be made in advance, on arrival or departure. The guest is at the time of reservation obliged to inform as how the payment is to be made.

For bookings that exceed a total value of 5000 SEK the following terms apply:

When ordering, you will receive a confirmation by mail or email and a booking number. 20 percent of the total amount is paid within 10 days, the remaining amount is paid no later than 30 days prior to your arrival.

If your booking is made within 30 days of the arrival date, the full amount is to be paid at the time of booking.
Only at the point at least one installment is the agreement binding on both parties.
A cancellation insurance can be signed at the time of booking. Read more about this under cancellation insurance.

Special conditions for various arrangements

Arrangement with timber raft
Our requirement is at least two adults per timber raft. Swimming ability with adults. You are responsible for the timely return of rented equipment in complete and clean condition to Granö Beckasin. You will be charged if the arrangement is interrupted by you in a place other than the stated final destination. All participation is at your own risk.

Arrangements by canoe, pedal boat or other type of boats
Swimming ability with adults. Children 15 years and younger only when accompanied by an adult. For whitewater paddling at least 18 years, swimming and good canoeing knowledge, two adults per canoe. You are responsible for the timely return of rented equipment in complete and clean condition to Granö Beckasin. You will be charged if the arrangement is interrupted by you in a place other than the stated final destination. All participation is at your own risk. Life jackets included.

Arrangement with bike
Children 15 years and younger only when accompanied by an adult. You are responsible for the timely return of rented equipment in complete and clean condition to Granö Beckasin. You will be charged if the arrangement is interrupted by you in a place other than the stated final destination. All participation is at your own risk. Bicycle helmets are included.

Rental of equipment
You are responsible for the timely return of rented equipment in complete and clean condition to Granö Beckasin. You will be charged if the arrangement is interrupted by you at a location other than the specified destination or if the equipment is damaged. All participation is at your own risk.

Cancellation conditions
The handling fee for cancellation and change of date is 150 SEK/adult, 75 SEK/child and 75 SEK/person when group booking. Cancellation must be made earlier than 30 days before the day of departure. If the arrangement is cancelled later than 30 days before the date of arrival, in addition to the service fee, the following costs are payable: 30 days – 14 days before the arrival day, 25 percent of the trip’s price will be charged. 13 days – 8 days before the day of departure will be charged 50 percent of the trip price. 8 days or less before departure will be charged the entire price of the trip. Rebooking of dates follows the same rules as cancellation.

Change of reservation
Granö Beckasin reserves the right to change an arrangement due to circumstances that we cannot prevail over. We always want to be able to solve problems that arise with common sense and to everyone’s satisfaction.

Cancellation protection

Traveller who signed a cancellation insurance has the right to cancel the tour if:
The traveller or his/her spouse/partner, the traveler’s or his/her spouse/partner’s close relative or the travelling companion is affected by serious illness or accident so that the journey cannot be completed. The traveller is affected by another serious event such as a fire in his own home.

The traveller cancels his or her trip. The journey must be cancelled as soon as possible and must be substantiated by medical and/or kinship certificates.

Price change

The price may be changed only due to cost increases resulting from:
Changes in transport costs.
Changes in taxes, duties or fees relating to services included in the trip or.
Changes in the exchange rate that affect the organizer’s costs for the trip.
The price may not be increased during the last 20 days prior to the agreed day of departure.

For reservations of conference and company events.

In case of cancellation, Visita’s cancellation policy is followed.
Up until 4 weeks prior to arrival, cancellation is free of charge. If cancellation occurs four weeks before arrival, 25 percent of the order’s value will be charged, three weeks before arrival 50 percent will be charged , two weeks before 75 percent and one week before 100 percent of the order’s value. If Beckasin has incurred special costs as a result of the cancellation, in addition to the value of the order, they shall be replaced in full by the client.

Changes in the number of guests, up to 10 percent of the number of pre-booked guests, can be made up to five days prior to arrival free of charge, then the prebooked number of guests will be charged even if the group gets smaller.
