A couple of years ago, Granö Beckasin was one of the first to enthusiastically place an order of a new exciting product: an electric snowmobile by Vidde Mobility. Back then it was a start-up with a good idea. This winter, they are optimizing a new wave of prototypes.
Vidde Mobility, already awarded “Disruptor of the year” and “Green good design Sustainability award”, are working along values that are shared with us at Granö Beckasin. The choice to support the project early was an easy one for us.
– So many things align with us. It’s a local business, based here in Västerbotten, says Christopher Storm, product manager at Granö Beckasin. And it’s a business with ambitions and dreams: to become the most sustainable electric snowmobile.
– We were about to order electric snowmobiles from Canada when Vidde Mobility came along. This is much more aligned with what we stand for. We are so excited to give our guests the experience of quietly moving across the frozen landscape. It will be a connection with nature on a totally different level than with gas driven snowmobiles.
For the winter 2025-26, we hope to have our full delivery of 12 snowmobiles onsite. We’ll then offer quiet guided snowmobile tours, where you can sense the wilderness and smell nature on a whole new level.
