Winter in northern Sweden

The winter at Granö Beckasin is just like a winter in Lapland should be: long, reliable, crispy, sparkling, dark and wonderful.

As soon as the river has frozen and the first layer of snow has fallen, nature becomes a playground. Join us here, in our active Nordic lifestyle with all its outdoor adventures.

Our packages all include guided tours into the wilderness. Our guides have years of experience showing the way when it’s covered in snow. Learn how to make a fire, how to identify the tracks from wildlife and about different types of snow. Try dog sledding with huskies, hiking on snowshoes, try driving a snow mobile or skiing on classic touring skis made out of wood. Experience the dancing aurora borealis across the sky, a starry night and the sensation of plunging an ice bath on the river.

The starting point is always Granö Beckasin, an hour northwest of Umeå in the north of Sweden. You can choose to stay in a tree house, a hotel room or a hotel cabin. Your adventure package can be just one night or a whole week.

Suitable for: Our adventure packages are all about outdoor life and outdoor activities in in subarctic Sweden. The packages work best for families with older children or teenagers and adult friends, couples or groups. All you need is an interest in nature and a longing for the wilderness, knowledge and unique experiences.
